Milan's Jewish community, which the Union of Italian Jewish Communities describes as the second in Italy after Rome's, is spread across many oratories that follow different rites — Italian, Sephardi, Sephardi-Oriental and Ashkenazi, which the community's own page also calls the German rite. The Central Synagogue on Via della Guastalla, of the Italian rite, is the seat of the Chief Rabbinate (Rabbinato Centrale), whose office also books the community mikveh in the same building. Much of daily Jewish life is in the south-west of the city around Via Soderini and Via Sally Mayer, where the community's school, the Chabad House and several kosher restaurants are. The Rabbinate publishes the list of establishments under its supervision on the community's website; that page's own metadata dates its last update to December 2021. Chabad of Milano holds Shabbat and holiday meals for visitors at the Chabad House on prior registration. The Rabbinate's list of oratories dates from 2012, so check service times with each synagogue before you go.
