Zurich's Jewish life clusters tightly in the 8002/8003 streets south of the centre. Two established communities anchor it: the Israelitische Cultusgemeinde Zürich (ICZ) — an Einheitsgemeinde, orthodox-led in its own kosher list's words — whose Löwenstrasse synagogue was built in 1884 and whose community centre on Lavaterstrasse houses the Florentin kosher meat restaurant, with the ICZ's mikveh also on Lavaterstrasse; and the Israelitische Religionsgesellschaft Zürich (IRG) at Freigutstrasse, a separate community with its own rabbinate, its own mikveh and its own kosher list. Around them sit Agudas Achim, the liberal community Or Chadasch, two Chabad houses and several independent minyanim, plus a kosher butcher, a bakery and two kosher supermarkets. The ICZ's own pages note that security checks apply to all visitors at its buildings — bring photo ID.
